What materials are to be kept handy for AWS?The conference schedule which will be uploaded on the website should be kept handy. Laptops may be carried for research and reference.

When and where will AWS be held?AWS will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2024 on Jamnabai Narsee School campus. Latecomers will not be admitted to the session. Please adhere to the conference schedule.

What is the role of a delegate at AWS?Delegates at AWS represent a country or delegation and engage in debate, negotiation and resolution writing, advocating for their country's (or delegation’s) policies and interests while seeking common ground with other countries and delegations.

How can delegates prepare for AWS?Delegates can prepare for AWS by researching their country's policies, understanding the global issues at hand (study guides will be provided) and practising their public speaking, negotiation and resolution writing skills.

How are topics for AWS selected?The topics for the conference are selected by the organizing committee based on current global issues, trends, and events.

What is the purpose of AWS?The purpose of AWS is to simulate the workings of the United Nations, allowing students to learn about global issues, diplomacy and negotiation while improving their public speaking, critical thinking and leadership skills.

How to register for the conference?All interested students can register via the form on the website.

Will certificates be provided to winners or participants as well?Certificates of Participation will be provided to everyone who attends all the sessions on both days of the conference. Certificates of Merit will also be awarded to the winners.

Is there a stipulated amount of experience required to participate in AWS?No, it is not mandatory to have MUN experience to participate in AWS. In fact, we encourage first-time MUNners to be a part of the event.

Are there opportunities for networking at AWS?Yes, AWS offers opportunities for networking and socializing with participants from different schools. Delegates can exchange ideas, make new connections and build friendships and of course professional relationships.

What is the appropriate attire for AWS?Western formal wear (Except for Indian Parliament which requires Indian formal wear). Blazers and ties are compulsory. Kindly Note: No dresses, skirts or sleeveless clothing will be permitted.

Who is eligible to take part in AWS?Standard 11 and 12 (Senior Secondary School students) and Standard 9 and 10 (only Jamnabai Narsee School students) are eligible to participate in AWS.
